Cut and score
Print at actual size on 180-220 gsm card; verify the 50 mm ruler. Cut every piece once, including all window openings before folding. Score dashed lines lightly. Keep each wheel set together. Coordinates below use x from the rear, y from the centreline, and z from the table.
-
Set the floor and sides
Fold the 4 mm B1/B2 perimeter tabs 90 degrees toward the inside. Bond their bottom tabs on top of B3, with rear edges aligned at x=0. Set the side walls 48 mm apart and vertical; body bottom is z=20. Dry square before closing the shell.
-
Close the nose and rear
Glue B4 (28 x 48 mm) over the two front vertical tabs at x=120, from z=20 to 48. Glue B7 (48 x 48 mm) over the rear tabs at x=0. Rear window is above centre. The 4 mm side-tab overlaps hold each cross panel; adjoining cross-panel edges meet without overlap.
-
Fit the angled windshield
Glue B5 over the slanted side tabs: bottom at x=120,z=48 and top at x=108,z=68. Its slope length is 23.324 mm, width 48 mm, and tilt is 30.964 degrees back from vertical. Leave both windshield cutouts open. Dry with side walls parallel.
-
Close the main roof
Glue B6, 108 x 48 mm, across the upper tabs at z=68, spanning x=0 to 108. Its front edge meets the windshield. Apply glue with a narrow brush through a window and hold the roof flat until dry.
-
Raise the camper roof
Fold R1 four walls down 90 degrees from the 78 x 42 mm top. Fold each 2 mm corner tab behind its neighboring wall and glue; fold the 3 mm lower feet inward 90 degrees. Glue feet onto B6 with rear edge x=8 and side edges y=+/-21 (3 mm inset from the body sides). Top height is z=78; dry before adding S1.
-
Install paper chassis
Fold C1/C2 into open-bottom caps: four walls down 90 degrees and 2 mm corner tabs glued inside. Each is 8 x 56 x 10 mm. Glue the entire top face against the underside of B3, centred at x=24 and x=96. Ends project 4 mm past each side wall, to y=+/-28; lower edges are z=10. Keep the two crossmembers parallel and let dry.
-
Build four fixed wheels
For each W set fold the inner and outer disc 2 mm tabs inward 90 degrees. Fold tread T at each crease by 45 degrees to form an octagon; close with the final 3 mm lap behind its first facet. Glue the inner disc tabs inside the tread, then fit the outer disc with its tabs inside the other rim. Wheel thickness is 6 mm; distance between opposite flats is 22 mm. Keep an octagon flat horizontal at the bottom; dry all four drums.
-
Mount wheels and hubs
Bond each inner wheel face directly to its chassis end wall (8 x 10 mm contact). W1/W2 are left, W3/W4 right; rear pair centres x=24 and front pair x=96. All centres are z=11, inner faces y=+/-28 and outer faces y=+/-34. Bottom flats share the table plane. Press gently with support inside each open chassis cap, then dry. Centre H1-H4 on matching outer wheel faces. Wheels are fixed, not rolling.
-
Add camper fittings
Glue D1 to the left side, rear edge 62 mm from the rear and lower edge 3 mm above the body floor; align its window with the side cutout. Fold D2 at 4 and 8 mm into a Z: first 4 mm strip glues under the floor at x=62..82, y=-20..-24; next strip drops 4 mm; final 6 mm tread projects outward. Glue S1 flat on the raised roof, rear edge 26 mm from the body rear and centred across the width. Dry on a level surface.
Notes
The 3D model shows each piece in its finished, idealized shape; the exploded view only spreads the pieces apart. It is not a paper-physics simulation: curved shapes are forming guides, not exact physical folding or proof of developability, and intermediate fold shapes are not supplied.
- Original static decorative vehicle; wheels do not turn. No hidden axles, wire, or supports.
- All structural nets and glue tabs are piecewise-rigid exact developments, including eight-facet wheels. Windows are actual openings, not glazing.
- Paper and adhesive thickness are idealized; 0.15 mm applique offsets aid preview visibility. Folded seams and tab contacts need physical tolerance assessment.
- Solar panel and door are decorative paper appliques; the roof does not lift. Physical printing, cutting and assembly verification pending.
