-
Print, cut and score
Print at 100 percent actual size; check the 50 mm ruler. Cut all seven labelled pieces and remove the 24 mm circle from E with a knife on a mat. Score dashed lines before folding. Keep F flat: its 60 x 50 mm rectangle is the full floor.
-
Stand the front and rear
Fold the 6 mm bottom tabs of E and B inward 90 degrees. Glue their undersides onto the top of F: E along the front 60 mm edge and B along the opposite edge, 50 mm behind E. The walls stand 72 and 92 mm above the floor. Hold square until set; the round hole center is 30 mm from either side and 49 mm above F.
-
Close the sloping sides
Fold the bottom and front/rear tabs inward 90 degrees on L and R. Glue bottom tabs to F and vertical tabs to the inside faces of E and B, all with 6 mm overlap. L and R occupy the 50 mm floor edges, 60 mm apart. Their low 72 mm ends face E; tall 92 mm ends face B. Keep the bottom level and let the shell dry with its roof open.
-
Form the raised perch
P is 24 x 53 mm. Fold parallel to its 24 mm edges at 16, 36 and 48 mm from the top-strip start. Wrap a triangular tube: 16 mm horizontal top, 20 mm diagonal underside, 12 mm vertical rear. Internal corner angles are 36.87 degrees at the nose and 53.13 degrees at the lower rear; fold the final 5 mm lap 90 degrees under the top and glue it. Leave triangular ends open. Dry before mounting.
-
Mount perch below the entry
Glue the complete 24 x 12 mm vertical rear face of P to the outside of E, centered from x=18 to 42 mm. Its bottom is 18 mm and horizontal top 30 mm above F; its nose projects 16 mm forward. The entry bottom is 37 mm high, leaving 7 mm clearance above the perch. Support from inside the open shell while pressing, then allow to dry.
-
Seat the overhang roof
Fold both 6 mm sloping upper side tabs 90 degrees inward so they lie in the roof plane. Apply glue on their upper surfaces. Center T across the 60 mm body with 8 mm overhang left and right. Its 71.08 mm sloping length covers 66 mm in plan: 8 mm beyond front and rear. The roof climbs toward B at 21.80 degrees; its front edge is 68.8 mm high and rear edge 95.2 mm. Press onto both tabs without crushing the shell and dry fully. Display on a level indoor surface; not wildlife housing.
Notes
The 3D model shows each piece in its finished, idealized shape; the exploded view only spreads the pieces apart. It is not a paper-physics simulation: curved shapes are forming guides, not exact physical folding or proof of developability, and intermediate fold shapes are not supplied.
- Original indoor tabletop decoration only. Not wildlife housing, a feeder, or an outdoor object; do not place live animals inside.
- Seven physical cut pieces. The entry is a 24 mm diameter circular cutout sampled with 64 edges, not a printed circle.
- Exact piecewise-rigid nets include every structural tab and the perch lap. Roof rises 20 mm over the 50 mm body depth; overhang is 8 mm on each side in plan.
- Paper and glue thickness are idealized as zero; bonded surfaces coincide in the preview. Perch ends remain open intentionally. No hidden supports or extra pieces.
- Physical printing, cutting, assembly, glue access, roof seating and tabletop stability remain pending. Digital validation is not physical approval.
